Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year. Yeah spending time with family is nice, but the highlight of my day is a full day of football alongside delicious food. It's like living the dream!
In this article I'll break down my picks for each of the games today.

Kicking off the day, the (4-6) Green Bay Packers visit the scorching hot (7-2) Detroit Lions at 12:30. This is the first time in years where we won't see Aaron Rodgers at the helm on Thanksgiving Day. That is not the only difference, as most years the Packers dominate, yet this year things are going to be different. This lions team is special. I mean Dan Campbell has truly turned this team around from a team scouring for a single win into a dominant powerhouse gunning for a Superbowl win. Jared Goff and Amonra St Brown have continued their great play all year. But this Lions RB Duo is crazy. We all knew David Montgomery was good, but in the last few weeks we have truly seen why the Lions picked Jahmere Gibbs. Both of these guys have contributed greatly to the success of this high powered Detroit offense.
The Packers have not been amazing, but there are still bright spots on this team. Jordan Love is inconsistent, but has shown flashes of growth. The Packers are coming off a great win over the chargers, But for the Packers to have any chance against this dominant Lions team, the offense needs to step up, guys like Christian Watson and Romeo Dobbs need to support Love with big games. However, I don't think this will be the case, and I predict the Lions winning this game 24-10.
At 4:30 we head to AT&T Stadium , as Sam Howell and the (4-7) Washington Commanders visit Dak Prescott and the (7-3) Dallas Cowboys. Ever since the tragic loss to the Cardinals the Cowboys have not looked shaky in any of their trap games. I believe that this game will be no different. Dak Prescott has been ballin out this season, playing the best football of his career. Ceedee Lamb is a dawg, and with that amazing o line up front, this Dallas offense can thrive on long developing routes creating more separation for receivers. Even after losing Trevon Diggs to injury, this Dallas defense is still elite. Daron Bland is a true ball hawk- his pick six numbers are ridiculous, and Micah Parsons is… Micah Parsons, who has continued to put up crazy numbers. I will give Sam Howell his credit, he has exceeded every expectation doubters had on him this season. Some of the throws he makes are mind boggling. And that Commanders WR room is on the rise. It’s led by the star Terry Mclaurin, but the youngster Johan Dotson is also contributing greatly. I do think that if Sam Howell plays the way he did against the Eagles, the Commanders can keep it close, but the way Dallas plays in these games, I don't think it will be close. I predict the Cowboys to win 31-14.
Finishing off the night, we have the best game of the day as the (7-3) 49ers visit the (6-4) Seattle Seahawks. This game will have enormous implications for the NFC West. Both of these teams have had great seasons, and are both playoff contenders for sure. As I have mentioned previously, the 49ers are the most complete squad in the NFL. They have stars at almost every position, and that defense is so good. The Seahawks have been up and down, some weeks they look amazing, and other weeks, not so much. Last week they suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Rams, and they will definitely look to bounce back. Geno Smith suffered a injury, and he is listed as questionable for the game as of 11/22/23. However, Kenneth Walker is doubtful, which will definitely hurt the Seahawks. I think that the 49ers are going to win through domination on the offensive and defensive lines. As long as Purdy is serviceable and doesn’t turn the ball over, I think that the 49ers should win in a comfortable fashion. I predict the 49ers to win 27-17.
